Marimekko Kuuluminen Taifuuni Dress
The Kuuluminen button-up dress is made of cotton poplin in the Taifuuni pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The dress has a short concealed button list in the front, a separate belt, and wide single-button cuffs at the sleeve ends. The hem has a strong round shape and side panels.

Taifuuni (typhoon) belonged originally to a series of patterns based on photographs depicting parts of the human body. The starting point for the Taifuuni pattern was the curve of the shoulder. The model for the photographs was the designer’s daughter.
